Whilst we may be biased as to how amazing our resort is, take a moment to see what others are saying.
We were a 'family' of 5, Mum, Dad, 2 kids aged 16 and 13, and Grandfather (me). We had a 4 bedroom villa and it was perfect for us. It is very close to the Pilanesberg National Park and Sun City. We did went 2 days into the park doing an early morning and a late afternoon 'safari' on each day, and a whole day in Sun City. We had one lay day in Kingdom Resort and used their Putt Putt facility to great effect.

An Unforgettable Family Experience at Kingdom Resort – 1st to 5th October. Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at Kingdom Resort from the 1st of October to 5th of October, and I can honestly say that our experience exceeded all expectations. We travelled a very long distance to get to the resort, and as any parent of a two-year-old will understand, long journeys with a little one are not always easy. However, from the moment we arrived, the warmth, hospitality and exceptional service we received made every kilometre worthwhile. A special thank you to Puseletso, who welcomed us so warmly during check-in and immediately made us feel at home. First impressions mean a great deal, especially after a long journey, and she certainly made ours a positive one. I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to Masego, who was a tremendous help as well. Her kindness, willingness to assist and genuine care for our family's needs did not go unnoticed. Maano deserves a very special mention for going above and beyond to accommodate my family and me. He was truly the MVP of our stay! His dedication, attentiveness and willingness to make sure our needs were met turned an already enjoyable experience into something truly memorable. It is people like him who make the difference between simply staying at a resort and feeling genuinely valued as a guest. And then there is Phillip, the shuttle driver. What an absolute gentleman! He was genuinely one of the nicest people we encountered during our stay. His friendliness, pleasant nature and the way he interacted with us made every encounter a pleasure. Phillip is a real credit to Kingdom Resort, and I hope his kindness and excellent service are recognised. Our experience was so positive that we actually changed our original plans. We were initially supposed to leave on Sunday, 4 October, but because we were so happy with the service and the overall experience, we decided to extend our stay by another night and enjoy one more day at the resort. That decision alone speaks volumes about how much we enjoyed ourselves. As a husband and father, there is nothing more important to me than seeing my family happy, comfortable and well looked after. Kingdom Resort gave us exactly that, and for this, we are truly grateful. To the management, please recognise these incredible members of your team. The best stay and holiday destination! Next to Pilanesberg National Park, 5 minutes drive to Sun City. But that is all extra. The resort has great facilities that cater for every need, like the restaurant, bar, enough swimming pools for everyone and active activities like putt-putt and paddle. We spent a wonderful weekend at the Kingdom Resort. From the very warm greeting we received at the gate, every moment was filled with excitement and activity. I would like to raise a concern regarding one of the staff members at the tuck shop next to the jumping bed area, where lunch food is sold. On 03/10/2026 at approximately 17:25, one of the ladies working there refused to serve me and told me that they were already closed. However, she continued serving other customers afterwards, up until around 18:00. Some of my friends who visited have also experienced similar treatment. Even one of her male colleagues appeared frustrated with the situation because she had chosen not to serve us while continuing to serve other people. Could you please speak to the staff members who were working there that afternoon and address this issue? We would appreciate consistent and fair treatment of all customers.

Kingdom resort is a well looked after resort, however you do not get what you pay for. On a weekend like 3 October, there is no activities available as we are told there's no staff to assist, the bar & restaurants are understaffed with 1 person working each. At night you only have the option of a buffet, a family of four you won't spend under 1k & the same with breakfast, imagine spending R1000 on breakfast. The food is underwhelming, pretty much 5/10 & it's a small buffet. They have a braai boma area which is only used on Wednesdays, craziest thing I've heard...what about weekends???? So for a weekend you spend around 11k for a family of 4, which is on the high end market, you pretty much only have the pools & your unit to enjoy. I won't be returning, ill stick to Dilololo where there is great value for your buck with less rules, there activities they advertise actually work.

Nearby activities: They have so many activities at the lodge for kids and the warm pool was very nice to hang out in. The service was wonderful. What a lovely team of people ... friendly, helpful, kind, enthusiastic. From security at the entrance to the housekeeping team and restaurant staff, I cannot fault any of the employees there. The resort was also super clean and tidy. This hotel was very nice overall. They do have an airport shuttle but it is not advertised on the Expedia app. The shuttle price is €10 per person. About €3 cheaper than Uber. They do have a bar and surprisingly very good pizza which is very convenient after a long day traveling Definitely will stay here again.

Great place to get away and rewind. I had the most absolute great time. I'd love to come back here again. The staff are really friendly. Really enjoyed staying here, we were 4 adults in a 2 bedroom self catering villa. There are activities on site, and they organise family activities each day. The 18 hole putt putt is fun, they have integrated the water feature into the course. It is a couple of kilometres from Sun City, with an hourly shuttle which can be booked at Reception. Villa was spacious, with outside furniture, braai area and splash pool. Staff are friendly and clean the place well. We used the Spa which is well designed, massage and facials were good. The only negative was the onsite dinner restaurant, Acacia table, buffet food quality average and over priced. Nearby activities: Game walk and drives available in the Pilansberg. Many activities available in Sun City. Safety: Completely safe

Das Hotel war für eine Nacht gut geeignet. Die Betten waren bequem. Allerdings hatten wir im Doppelbett für 2 Personen jeweils nur 1 Bettdecke. Da es warm war, reichte die Bettdecke (Übergröße) aus, im Winter wäre es uns zu wenig gewesen. Das Zimmer war sehr warm und die Fenster lassen sich leider zum Durchlüften nicht komplett öffnen (verständlicher Weise). Da wäre eine gute Klimaanlage notwendig gewesen. Für eine Nacht sehr gut geeignet, vor allem das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist grandios (wenn man die Nähe zum Airport benötigt). Das Personal ist super, super nett und hilfsbereit!!!! Gerne wieder!

The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable, and the room was quiet, which made it easy to relax and sleep well. Everything was well maintained and in good condition. The restaurant offered a good variety of meals, and the food was fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our stay. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast was one of the highlights of the stay. There was a wide selection of hot and cold items, including fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, and hot drinks. The food was well prepared and regularly replenished, making breakfast a very enjoyable start to the day.

We booked the two bedroom villa with splash pool for 2 nights, and it exceeded our expectations. Clean, beautiful and spacious. The service was excellent. My only complaint is the hard double bed, but that won't stop me from going back there. Everywhere was within walking distance and perfect for children. Rooms: 2 bedroom. Nearby activities: Qued biking, Pedal, day spar, pools, restaurant, bar. Safety: Very safe. Your teenagers can walk around on there own and do there own activities. Walkability: Good Walking distance and shuttle service available. Food & drinks: Buffet breakfast and dinner was excellent and I highly recommend it.

We stayed at this hotel because was conveniently located close to our activities. Breakfast was good. Parking is expensive. €20 per day. But we managed to park behind the hotel for free. There is an excellent restaurant at walking distance with region food. Overall, was very good stay.

Absolutely amazing experience at Kingdom Resort. I loved the warm pool ,great for winter. Everything exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it Rooms: Rooms are neat they have almost everything needed for family Vacation. Nearby activities: It has activities nearby and also Suncity being close to the resort is a plus one. Safety: The place is safe , got friendly security guards and we feel free when kid do activities because there are also life guards on the duty ready to help anytime. Walkability: The walkability is good because the pavements which are wonderfully made

It’s was my second visit, the first visit was booked through holiday club and i think the type of accommodation was as per their request which wasn’t really ideal for family with kids far from us. This time we did a direct booking and the accommodation was customized to our needs , amazing. The staff customer service is world class. I so wish we can find a booking to spend Christmas’s at the resort.

We stayed here both on the way down and on our way up from our trip. Staff was helpful and friendly, room was what we wanted. The sofa bed was a bit, "princess on the pea", but thats the only minus. Nice breakfast. The kids (their dad) enjoyed the pancake machine.

We recently stayed at the Kingdom Resort and it was really a great experience. Its really great for family weekends, the pools were really great although it was cold weekend. The staff and cleanliness was top notch. You can hear the lions in the evening, almost feels like they are the same area.

Lots of fun activities to do with the kids and even used the heated pool in winter. Would be better to go when slightly warmer as the waterpark has great slides with cold water. Very friendly staff. Loved the quad bike game drive for the family! The put put was also special. Paddle court was a really fun option. Being 5 Min away from sun city and a few take away places made meals more affordable off site. The buffet at the restaurant was a nice option, although a bit pricey for most families to do every day. The on site cafe has more affordable meals, but going off site to dine is the most affordable option. Definitely a great option for a family holiday!

The Kingdom resorts has expanded a lot from the last we were there with kids. They now lots of amenities, they have new swimming pools near the water park new heated pools, the restaurants has been renovated with a great facelift and a room for kids to play. We went as 2 couples, but we plan to take our kids the during September school holidays.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellent, with lovely food. We did not have breakfast, but we will definitely try it next time we visit. Our room was comfortable, and the staff were very accommodating. One day we did not have water, but it was fixed soon after we reported it. We stayed in Chalet 3; please just check the fridge, as it did not get very cold.

The room is fairly clean. The carpet overall in the hotel is worn and a bit smelly. The breakfast is great quality and provides a lot of choices. The hotel is about 6 miles from the airport. You can walk to some ponds near the hotel and take a good walk around the hotel. It was quite relaxing.

The property was clean and well maintained. The staff was professional and very courteous. The only thing that was bothering me was the lack of air conditioning in the lobby and in the room. It was a super hot day and the “air conditioning” in the room was blowing hot air. The whole hotel was hot. I understand that German hotels sometimes lack air conditioning, but this is an international chain of hotels, I would expect it to have a decent air conditioning system. Basic breakfast is provided and hotel transportation from the airport is provided, but to the airport they charge 10 euros.

The property is clean and well maintained. As of many hotels in Europe it suffers from lack of proper climate control systems in the rooms. This hotel is very isolated from any type of shopping or restaurants, with that said you will need to walk or have a rented vehicle to get anywhere. Aside from that, this is a great hotel for the price.

Clean & friendly staff, dog friendly and honestly best stay for when you’re flying out the next day and want to take advantage of the surrounding lakes and trails. Gives it less of an airport hotel kinda vibe but a last relaxing resort for an upcoming day of travels. Big bonus is the huge Restaurant & Biergarten just across the street. Will definitely be back

A few things to consider before booking this for fellow travelers: 1) This location is outside the park and Sun City, so you will need to purchase separate tickets for both since you are staying outside. 2) They have a convenience store and restaurant on-site, which is good, but the store closes very early. 3) Check-in is at 3 PM and checkout is at 10 AM sharp. The 3 PM check-in is late for your evening game drive, and the 10 AM checkout makes it difficult to return from the morning game drive, so it can be tricky. 4) The staff's behavior and attitude could be improved. I have stayed in five-star and other four-star places where the staff is very friendly. However, here, the staff seems strict and rules-oriented, and I sensed a bit of attitude from all of them. The atmosphere is less welcoming than at the park. Considering the other features, such as park entry and the game drives they offer, it might have been cheaper to stay inside the park rather than here.

I stayed here for one night while waiting for my flight back Los Angeles. The experience was excellent and the cost was much less than other hotels around the airport. I took the shuttle to the airport. It was on time and went very well.

The staff were very accommodating to our large family (eight total). I would certainly recommend it. Only issue was the distance from the airport, and lack availability of airport pickup service . Perhaps a reservation system for that service would be advisable. Breakfast was great.

I liked that they offer a shuttle from the airport, note that the shuttle back to the airport is not included and it has a price of $10 per person, even so, t it is conveniently close to the airport, about 15 minutes. The thing that bothered me the most was the size of the room we were given, we couldn't almost walk around the room. The bathroom was decent and it had shower/shampoo soap and you can request anything you forgot to bring to the front desk. It doesn't have a restaurant for dinner, there is one close by but we were so tired that venturing outside the hotel was not enticing at all. In conclusion, decent economic option for an overnight stay to catch a flight.

Beautiful design, but the shower setup is awkward. I really loved the location and the overall design of the resort—it's beautiful. However, management should really relook at the shower design. The showerhead is fixed very high up on the ceiling, and the water angle cannot be adjusted to the guest's needs. Because the water pours straight down from the roof, you have to awkwardly tilt your head the entire time if you don't want the water hitting you directly over your head. It would be a much better experience if guests could adjust the shower water angle to their preference.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Preis/Leistung ist TOP. Ganz tolles Frühstück: frisch und sauber, immer aufgefüllt, für Kids eine Pancake-Maschine, leckerer Kaffee. Perfect for a short stay near Frankfurt airport. Nice small but very functional, modern, clean rooms with coffee maker, ours should have better = more lighting, other rooms were brighter. Good beds, two single beds per room. Safe parking available for a fee. Friendly staff. Very Good breakfast included. Hotel has a bar that also serves some food and lots of vending machines. It’s conveniently located right next to the freeway but pretty quiet. Sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Shuttle from Airport free, to the Airport 10 Euros, reserve in advance!

The only concern I have is with the room/unit cleaning service. On several occasions, the cleaners only arrived to clean the unit after 11:30 AM, and this continued for three consecutive days. This caused inconvenience and affected the overall experience. I would appreciate it if the cleaning schedule could be improved to ensure timely service.

This was not among the top Holiday Inn Express locations I have stayed at. The air conditioning did not work well and the room was too warm for comfortable sleeping. Parking was 20 Euros a night extra; the hotel shuttle was 10 Euros a person. The staff was pleasant and the location is good for easy airport access. The price is lower than most of the alternatives. I probably would not choose it again.

Staff was friendly upon arrival, checked in right away. We were surprised on how well they handled a huge group of soccer tournament families. Not to mention, how quiet the night went with all the kids. We were not part of it, but thought oh no, this could be problematic in getting sleep for an early morning flight. My friends and I based ourselves here for a few nights whilst we were visiting the Pilanesberg National Park. Not far from Bakubung Gate, so easy to get into the park first thing in the morning. The service and friendliness of the staff in the restaurant was excellent - particularly Thambi who gave us such a warm welcome in the evenings and was always interested in what we had done that day. A very good choice of hot and cold food from the buffet, as well as freshly cooked pizza and braai meat every evening. Delicious and good value!! Breakfast wasn't included in the rate but we were off to the park, so didn't get to see what this was like. Chalet was clean and comfortable - and the shower was very spacious. We were also able to sit outside on our terrace and enjoy the peace in the evenings. Parking is right in front of the chalet with a short walk to the door.

I absolutely loved the staff – they were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. The resort itself is beautiful, and I especially enjoyed the warm and cool pools, which made the experience even more relaxing. The location is fantastic, being so close to Sun City about 5 mins drive, veerryy nice. I also got to visit attractions like the Upside Down House - which was about an hour and 30 mins, including traffic and stop and go... More importantly, also appreciated the variety of activities offered by the resort. The staff that facilitated those activities were lovely and patient. Even though I travelled solo, I had such an enjoyable and memorable experience. I would definitely recommend this place to others!

Came with high expectations of the resort. The chalet was fantastic and the amenities were great. Staff helpful. The big fire game drive was excellent. What lets down the resort is the shambles that is the restaurant. The website advertises a nice restaurant with a great menu but is never open when you want it. Was open for lunch on weekends but not weekdays. Only served buffet food in the evening. So not sure is the point. None of this is on the website or on the menu. The restaurant looked like it was fully staff but it baffled me why so many s. If you want lunch during the week it’s the takeout by the water park. Bring your own food and braai or budget for eating out at Sun City (Use the shuttle bus) The restaurant issue is a reoccurring theme on reviews on trip advisor and seems platitudes are made by the owners but not addressed. Shame as we would have happily eaten every night of our stay in the restaurant. Perhaps something small could be done with having correct information on the website, at check in or even on the menu.

The villa is spacious, clean and has comfortable furniture. The pools are clean… we really enjoyed the heated pool, especially in the gloomy weather.

Durch eine lockere Duschstange in der Dusche hat sich mein Mann eine Verletzung am Schienbein zugezogen. Diese wurde vom Mitarbeiter dokumentiert und uns zugesagt, dass sich nach dem Wochenende jemand bei uns hierzu meldet. Auch während unseres Urlaubes rief niemand an und es kam keine Email, obwohl wir unsere Kontaktdaten hinterlassen haben. Nach unserem Urlaub schrieb ich einen Email und es wurde zugesagt, dass man mit einem Feedback auf uns zukommt. Bislang nichts. Ich mag mir gar nicht vorstellen, was hätte passieren können, wenn meine kleine Tochter von der Stange getroffen wäre.

Within minutes of both Pilansberg park and Sun City, this place is very well located. It has great facilities. Tge only negative is that only one of the restaurants is open each night. The night we were there was the buffet restaurant and there was no ala carte. However, apart from that, the Kingdom is faultless and a great place to stay.

If you're going to Pilanesburg chances are you want to go on a safari drive. The downside with the kingdom is that the drives are only allowed for I believe age 6 and up which is a problem if you're going with young kids. The facilities are great, modern, and there is a lot of activities for young kids. Choice of pools as well, including a warm pool which my kids loved. Overall a positive experience, but again if you want to see animals on a game drive I'd stay elsewhere (thank you Kwa maritane for providing a great safari experience!)

Whilst the rooms are reasonably priced you are forced to have a choice of ONLY buffet breakfast and dinner at very high prices, especially if you are someone who doesn't eat very much. There are no other options except for lunch so that sends your bill up drastically. That is the catch. There needs to be more options for food for clients who don't eat buffet size meals. Otherwise really enjoyed the place.
